Specialty Exclusive Lifting System for Servicing Porsche 911 Vehicle Models

Exclusive Lifting System for Servicing Porsche 911 Models

Every stunning version of the Porsche 911 is an iconic, eye-catching automobile. Few vehicles are as instantly recognizable. Few others turn every head. “I couldn’t find the sports car of my dreams,” Ferdinand Porsche said, “so I built it myself.” In reality, he built the sports car of a multitude of dreams, and automobile enthusiasts have enjoyed his design for decades since.

Stunning cars require vigilant care. Porsche owners carefully consider the repair shops they visit for maintenance and repair. Dedicated Porsche owners or collectors often prefer to perform their own maintenance. MLM Lifts and Manufacturing, a company dedicated to providing custom solutions for exquisite projects, designed a specialty lifting system built for Porsche 911 models.

All About Porsche 911 Models

Carrera & Carrera T

Dubbed the “Timeless Machine,” the Porsche 911 Carrera is the most inexpensive Porsche 911 – the “base” model, so to speak. At 0-60 mph in 4 seconds, however, there is nothing “base” about the Carrera. With a top track speed of 182 mph, the Carrera turns heads. The Cabriolet, positioned on the right in the first image, is the Carrera’s convertible twin. The second lightest 911 model, the Carrera T (pictured on the left) is a sports car designed for the pure joy of driving.

Carrera 4 Coupe & Carrera S

The Carrera 4 Coupe, pictured below, is the all-wheel drive cousin of the Carrera 2 Coupe. The Carrera 4 Cabriolet, pictured below, is a related convertible option. Another variation, the Targa 4, features an electric lift-away roof. Featured in the rightmost image, the Carrera S tops the “base” Carrera model by delivering a 50 horsepower boost and upgraded exhaust system. A remarkably fast vehicle, the Carrera S can fly from 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds with a top speed of 191 mph. Of course, a convertible model is also available: the Cabriolet Carrera S. Prefer all-wheel drive? Choose the Carrera 4S for an all-wheel drive option or the Carrera 4S Cabriolet for an all-wheel, convertible edition.

Carrera GTS

Another step up (if possible), the Carrera S turbochargers pale in comparison to those in the Carrera GTS. GTS turbochargers pack a 450 horsepower punch. The Carrera GTS Cabriolet is the subsequent convertible version; the Carrera 4 GTS, of course, being the all-wheel drive version. Similar to the Carrera S, the Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet is the 4 GTS – convertible edition.

Turbo & GT2 RS/ GT3

The Turbo, featured below, is an iconic, legendary supercar with massive turbochargers and a 540 horsepower engine. Per usual Porsche design, the Turbo Cabriolet is the Turbo’s convertible cousin. If 540 horsepower isn’t enough, the Turbo S and Turbo S Cabriolet boast a 580 horsepower engine. The Turbo S Exclusive Series (pictured below) adds 27 more horsepower to the equation. If 607 horsepower doesn’t satisfy the most dedicated supercar enthusiast, the GT2 RS might. A fusion of the Turbo S motor and massive turbochargers produce a 700 horsepower engine. The GT3 refrains from utilizing turbochargers, a track-oriented vehicle.

Porsche 911 Specialty Lift

Porsche 911 models, like most supercars, require unique lifting systems. Porsche 911 models require unique lifts due to their low body design, rear-engine, and special lifting points. Supercar enthusiasts who prefer to work on their own vehicles require something unique and one-of-a-kind; a specialty lift that sets them apart. Beyond the stunning statement it makes, the Porsche 911 Specialty Lift is absolutely necessary for safety during repair and maintenance.

The SC-363, MLM’s supercar lift, was built with the Porsche 911 models in mind. Pictured below, the SC-363’s superstructure carefully comes in contact Porsche 911 undercarriages, directly contacting each rounded, donut-shaped lifting points. This superstructure gently cradles the car instead of grappling it.

Furthermore, the SC-363 spins 360 degrees, allowing technicians to work on the rear-engine within close proximity to their workbench. Once the vehicle is properly rotated, a safety leg engages, ending the rotation feature and locking down the lift. Every SC-363 is built with thick fiberglass with a protective gel coating to prevent corrosion and provide trouble-free use for decades.
